The Missy Foundation was formed to
honour the memory of Missy Fortescue-Merrin, who joined
the angels on September 2, 1994 at the age of 10 1/2
years.
Missy was a most elegant golden retriever/rhodesian
ridgeback, who, for us redefined the meaning of life,
love and selflessness. She was our special Angel.
Many of us, who are animal lovers,
have had a “Missy” engulf our lives at one
time or another — that one unique friend who has
passed our way, and taught us the real meaning of the
words love, compassion, loyalty, intelligence, integrity,
and honesty.
To remember Missy in this way, celebrates
the joy of her life, and the love she gave so freely
to everyone around her. Each one of us can make that
wonderful, memorable experience live on, and perpetuate
it in honour of our own special Angels, through helping
those innumerable other fur-persons find that someone
special who wants to love them as we did our Missy,
our Angel.
